From Jerusalem with Love

When I see a blog I love, I will not hesitate to give it a "shout out." "From Jerusalem with Love" is just such a blog.

I admit a certain bias because I know the author personally, I also feel confident that anyone who samples some of the blog will love it as much as I do.

The author is currently studying Hebrew in Israel. He takes the time to document his experiences and his impressions of a country whose story is usually told in news soundbites.

For many of us of a certain age, Jerusalem is that place who seems to be locked in a perpetual war with that other place and say, wasn't Jesus born there or something?

Not only does the author, Matt, provide information about the culture of Jerusalem and the various parts of Israel that he visits, he also includes photos. Matt also, as if anticipating that those who are blind may read his posts, takes care to describe people, places and things in way that shows that this blog is a labour of love.

You Are a Yellow Flower
A yellow flower tends to represent joy, friendship, and playfulness. At times, you are childlike, as a buttercup is.And at other times, you are fickle, like a dahlia. And more than you wish, you tend to feel bittersweet, like a marigold.
What Color Flower Are You?

Black-Oriented TV Has More Fast-Food Ads

Lindsey Tanner, an AP Medical Writer, has written an article that I put under the heading of "the bleedin' obvious."

You can read it for yourself here.

The Final Two-the end of the March Madness 2006

I was going to deliver a deep analysis of the Final Four and the Final Two games but Jeff from New York does it so well at his blog which is located here.

I do have to admit that I want UCLA to win, if for nothing else, to give the "old Wizard of Westwood" a final reason to die happy.

Not as crazy about Billy Donovan and the Wally-Gators but I do have to admit that unlike his last tournament appearance of 2000, he and his team are lean, mean and talented.

You Are Somewhat Machiavellian

You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead...
But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself.
You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place.
You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to!

On Saturday, December 14th

I spent a good portion of the day watching the Flintstones holiday marathon (with some breaks for “A Christmas Story,” “Knots Landing”-the...
